The most common product in the family of Geosynthetics is Nonwoven geotextile fabrics. This product is a random assembly of synthetic fibers, put together, which are mechanically & thermally bonded to make into a single layer, commonly made of Nonwoven polypropylene geotextiles and polyester types. Nonwoven Geotextile fabrics are manufactured that based on typical application required.
The weight range of this product in civil engineering applications are typically ranging from 100gsm to 2000gsm. Its main function is 1) Filtration 2) Separation 3) Reinforcement and 4) Drainage.

As a Separator used between unsuitable material and good bag filled material, this usage will reduce the excavation depth of unsuitable sub-grade. It reduces the aggregate thickness to stabilize the sub-grade. The non-woven geotextile fabric maintains a uniform settlement of the sub-grade and hence improve the sub grade strength and prolong the life of the system.

As a Filtration polypropylene geotextiles have different range of pore openings to reduce the potential of clogging. The range of pore openings shall be compared to the grain size of the material to be filtered to obtain the optimum filtration.
JP non-woven geotextiles not only acts as a filter and a separator but also reduces the maintenance of erosion control systems and costs.
Besides providing high puncture resistance, it also provides lateral in-plane drainage for the system. It effectively filters fine slit soils that are subjected to turbulent flow. Hence maintaining and enhancing the stability of erosion protection structures.

As reinforcement Nonwoven Geotextiles function involves stabilization of a soil mass by provision of tensile strength fabric system.

Drainage is related to the role of filtration and is a function of the permeability of a geotextile and its pore opening size or photometry. Water is conveyed along the plane of the non-woven Nonwoven Geotextile due to its construction and then to an outlet. Water may be vertically or horizontally conveyed.

Recreational Facilities
From football fields, cricket grounds and race tracks to golf courses, JP Geotex are needed to keep layers of the structure separate and prevent contamination of customized surface by underlying soil. Blankets and trench drain systems for recreational facilities often use JP Geotex for economical reasons and for ease of installation permitting fast, simple construction.

Landscaping
JP Geotex is ideally suited for landscaping applications. Its permeability allows for fast drainage and the passage of air and fertilizers. Its tight fiber structure minimizes penetration by weeds and roots and prevents unwanted growth beneath the fabric. Its small opening size prevents piping or erosion of subgrade soils. JP Geotex is generally placed over natural soil and covered with a layer of decorative stone, bark or mulch. Weed growth is inhibited in landscaped beds and under decks. Gravel and stone paths retain their structure longer by separating cover materials from subgrade soils.

Jp geotex is applied under asphalt to minimize surface water infiltration and prevent existing cracks in the road from surfacing.

For over five years we have manufactured perforated pipe for a wide range of drainage applications. Our corrugated pipe features a corrugated exterior with a corrugated interior. It comes in a wide range of diameters, from 80mm flexible PVC, up to 160 mm HDPE for large agricultural or commercial schemes as carriageway edge interceptor drains. While perforated pipe can come in a wide variety of materials, including clayware, fibre-cement, concrete and ductile iron, HDPE/PVC has been a stalwart in the drainage industry proving time and again that it is the most reliable, economical and effective piping material on the market. Lightweight and durable, our pipe can handle chemically abrasive environments, is easy to install and not easily susceptible to cracking during pipe handling and installation activities. Two of its most important features are:

  1. Flexibility: because of its flexibility, our perforated pipe is better suited for trenches or where the ground is uneven. Depending on whether your circumstances dictate a flexible or rigid drainage solution, our perforated pipe is simple to install and well within the capabilities of the do-it-yourself enthusiast.
  2. Perforated: our pipe can be either fully perforated, i.e., slotted around the entire circumference or half-perforated, ie., have holes on only one side of the pipe, non-perforated, and perforated covered in filter sock. Perforations allow subsurface water to be collected and transplanted to favorable locations for discharge. Perforated pipe gives you the control you need to direct underground water where you want it, to encourage proper surface water percolation and in many cases to lower the groundwater table.

Recommended Applications

Our corrugated perforated pipe is primarily used for groundwater collection or recharge. Although versatile, the primary use of corrugated hdpe/pvc pipe is for gravity flow water management.
